Carlos Wagner

was born and brought up in Caracas, Venezuela. 

At the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, he completed a three-year acting diploma.

He was also commissioned to devise and direct: "Had I a Song" a retrospective on the life of Ivor Gurney Muziektheater Transparant, Antwerp, "Orpheus Frequency" and "Syrinx"  ENO Studio London and  "Between Two Worlds" - a retrospective on the life of E.W. Korngold - Covent Garden Festival/Muziektheater Transparant . He also directed "Wozzek" in a masterclass with Ruth Berghaus Berlin.

Being fluent in German, Italian, Spanish, French and English he has also been commissioned to write singing translations of "Tristan und Isolde" by R. Wagner and "Mefistofele" by A. Boito for English National Opera.
